Aldinger-Cartwright Christmas

Tonight I have a night shot of the Aldinger-Cartwright home located at 505 Griffith Street in Terrell. It's always been one of my favorites, and has gone through some major restoration in recent years.

The home is currently owned by Tom and Nancy Aldinger, who have a blog - they also have a Shutterfly slideshow at this link that includes historic photos of the home and a lot of photos taken during the restoration work recently done, before and after.

And finally, a photo of it during the daytime. Yeah!! Tomorrow's Friday!!!!

Brian, what a beautiful night shot of a lovely home. I like comparing it with the day shot, of course. You're thoughtful to include it for us. By the way, I just read your age on your blog. I'm 22 years older than you! Good grief! My gosh! I suppose that means I'm around 22 years older than Jim, too! Not that I'm complaining, mind you. I just didn't realize I was old enough to be your mama!

The fountain photo is beautiful, too.

What a fine old home! They don't have anything like this in «Louis'» native Lubbock!

(Editor to «Louis»: They don't have anything but sandstorms in Lubbock, «Louis»!

«Louis» to Editor: And tumbleweeds! Don't forget the tumbleweeds!

Editor: How could I forget?!)

What a magnificent home. Oh, to own something so beautiful. Nice shots, both day and night. I'll be checking out their blog and slideshow for sure.

Oh, and just to help out the old ego Brian, I've got a few years on you too.

I can see those southern girls dressed in those big dresses out there on the top floor balcony sipping tea in the summertime. Beautiful house.

My gosh, Brian - I just clicked over to check out the owner's blog & saw the aerial view of the house - WOW! It's WAY BIGGER than it looks in your pics - IT'S HUGE! How many b/r's baths etc? do you know?
