haven't been out lately to get any new pics... long commute to plano, and visiting grandma in the windsor care center during the evening.

my 2nd 15k!

today i got up early and went down to white rock lake to participate in my 2nd ever 15k (9.3 miles)- Too Cold to Hold. This was the 2nd race of 7 in the new 'run project' series sponsored by RunOn! Dallas.

i had a good run... didn't make a PR - finished in 1:49:46.. and Jim beat me by 2 minutes. But, i had a good run =)

crossroads

time passes. it's an inevitable part of life. and it often finds us at a 'crossroad'. grandma's been sick since around thanksgiving, fighting pneumonia. then a week ago saturday she suffered several small strokes. after a week in hospital down in kaufman, she's finally settled in at windsor care facility here in terrell. just around the corner from the senior terrace apartments she was living in before.

we spent about 8 hours today moving everything out of the old apartment.  tomorrow we're running a 9.3 mile / 15k race... in the morning.  this will be interesting, cause i'm already sore!

looking ahead

started feeling bad last night and came home sick today... stuffy nose, congested and scratchy throat. yuck! gotta get well so i can run 9.3 miles on Sunday at the Too Cold to Hold!  =)
