March Theme Day - Graffiti and/or Street Art

The theme for the first day of March is graffiti or street art. I had a tough time with this one, luckily, since we don't have a lot of graffiti around our town. Unfortunately, we also lack any interesting murals. I wanted to photograph some of the graffiti from the trains passing through town, but never was able to catch anything that came out clear.

So, I'm posting my theme day photo of this skull that I found on the back of the old 'Southland Athletic Building' near the train tracks. When I first saw this, I thought it was just an alien - but upon closer inspection, I guess it looks like a cross between an alien and maybe a reptile. I thought it looked kind of cool against the old bricks of the building.

Over 140 other City Photo Blogs from around the world are participating in today's theme day! Please take time to check out these other cities and their local street art and/or graffiti.

Ah, I've seen this guy around our city. I wonder if there is a magazine for street artists where they can see each other's work and ideas. . .I wonder how word and images spread in this sub culture? Have a great weekend!

You are fortunate not to have much graffiti. A great find.

Great shot.

Now that's a mean-looking alien/reptile skull.

Of course, he's probably just a big softie if you get to know him.

I'm sure it's a character from a heavy metal band. Motorhead or Judas Priest, or similar.

I'd say that if this is the best/worst you've been able to find then you are not doing too badly in your neck of the woods.

I can almost guess the age of the person who did that skull.

If there's a will there's a way :) I like the colour they chose to spray paint the wall.

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and for leaving your comments. Do visit again!

Happy Theme Day!

I put up some bathroom graffiti. I imagine there is graffiti somewhere in Jackson. But I don't want to go to the areas where it might be!
