Well, the voting is officially over and I am now officially a caucus delegate going to the county convention at the end of March! As of my posting, there is 76% of the vote counted in Texas for the 'Primary' portion of our voting and Clinton is winning 51% to Obama's 48%... it'll still probably be a week before the caucus results are known. I have to say my county went for Clinton in the primary, but for the caucus in my precinct the Hillary supporters were outnumbered 63% to 37%. For my precinct, this meant that Hillary ended up with 3 delegates who attend the county caucus on March 29th. As I stated earlier, I'm one of these 3 delegates to the county so I'm pretty excited... this is the first time I've been involved in politics to this degree.... just sitting and waiting for final results is the hardest part!
**Update** Texas is called for Hillary Clinton... the thing to watch for now are the caucus results, because that could make the difference in the final delegates awarded... she could win the popular vote, but Obama may get the delegate vote....

Congratulation !
Be careful with polls. We lost the last campaign in France like that and we got the worst President we never had.
Certainly and interesting election there at present.
I get confused with delegates, super delegates and the caucus but guess I'll find out what it all means eventually. Obviously a very exciting night and good for you getting involved.
I must say it's fascinating watching it from afar, but 7 seasons of The West Wing helped understanding !!!
How do the delegates to the convention get chosen? Do they come up through the county caucuses etc?
And when you go to vote ina primary, does your name have to be on a list somewhere as a Democrat or Republican voter? You can't just turn up out of the blue? Or can you?
Last question: do delgates to the convention get a free vote, or are they bound by the state vote, or is it just that they are honour bound to be representative of the outcome?
This i very exciting time in the elections. Texas Counts!
Brian, you've really got yourself involved! Good for you! As I said yesterday, I'm loving this election process and now I know you are in the thick of it I'm all the more interested! Keep us posted on how it all goes!
How exciting for you! I never paid much attention to how caucuses worked until this year.
I suppose people are really taking this seriously - as they should!

Congrats, Brian. This stupid delegate thing (lose the popular vote but get the delegates) drives me nuts. . .just like the Electoral College.
that's such a great photo and how exciting--congratulations and good luck on being a caucus delagate
