Dandelion 'Clock'

Well, the Bradford Pear trees next door have buds and white blooms coming out on them, and the yards everywhere are filled with little yellow dandelions and their seed pods like this in the photograph. I had planned to take a picture this morning when I saw a field of these, but it was really windy and when I went back there were only a few left intact. Just to be sure I had the name right (dandelion), I looked this up in Wikipedia and saw that these are actually called a 'clock.' You learn something new every day....

Great close-up photo, and I'm so proud that you've reported what you discovered at Wikipedia. Clock. Who'd a thunk it?

Cool marco photo! I have shot some close-up dandelions photos too. They are amazing flowers.

They may be "weeds," but I do like the little things.

Tomorrow is the big day! I'm thinking of you!

I didn't know that, either. It's a great photo! You all are just a little ahead of us on "Spring". :)
