This is a photo of the Greenville, Texas train station - aka the Katy Depot. This is located right off the downtown area of Greenville and currently houses a gift shop where you can buy souvenirs...

Hi out there all you KATY fans! the depot dosen't look very busy in this shot but if there was another look taken you would find doors & windows being painted, boarded up windows being replaced. The former tennant who didn't care about the old building is gone, and there is a new spirit, in more ways than one, down at the old depot. Come on back to the Greenville Hobby Depot, and help us to restore the old historic Depot, we need your support paint & new glass costs $$$$!! our new phone (903) 455-0699.

We began working on the Old Katy Depot in July and are continuing to give it a facelift. We have removed many of the boards that have covered up the windows for 19 years and have begun painting portions of the exterior. The Depot is on the National Register of Historic Places and is one of the few depots of its kind that is still standing.
We hope to continue our efforts on preserving the building and it's history. Please stop by Petticoat Junction (in the Depot) and browse our selection of ceramics, handcrafted items and models. We are having our grand opening on the 19th of Sept. 2009.
