early evenings

Today's photo was taken on the way home from work somewhere on 205 between Rockwall and Terrell...

It's been nearly a year since the accident that claimed the lives of the three teenage girls on SH34, and that section of the road is still in the dark... thoughts and prayers to the families of Anna and Jacqueline Segura and Viridiana Roa as they approach this tough anniversary at the beginning of December....

We've been running on 34 all year, so with the new time change and early darkness, our runs have been moved to the park... which is pretty well lit, but I wouldn't want to be out there too late at night...

A Leonid meteor shower is on tap for November 17th and 18th. The best time to see them should be a couple hours before daybreak - and are expected to fall at a rate of 20 or more per hour. Click the Meteor Blog here for more details!
p.s. tomorrow is the Great American Smokeout! Good luck to any and all who make that attempt. I quit 2.5 years ago, and it was one of the best things I've ever done for myself!

If 4 men tried to rob the man, why are they only looking for 2 other men? One got shot & is dead, but there's 3 others they should be looking for! I'm too particular, aren't I? I ask too many questions, don't I? I'm doing it again... dangit! heheheee

I'm gonna see if I can see the meteor shower tonight w/ my telescope!

Congratulations on being quit for so long, Brian! Very cool!!!

A beautiful scene!

I wonder if it would be worth it to try to see the shower from Jackson.
