Austin American Statesman - 2010 Capitol 10k

A few photos from the Austin American Statesman Capitol 10k race today... I didn't carry my camera when I was running, so most of my shots are from the un-timed runners near the end. Quite a few people came in costumes of sorts - pink flamingos, hippies, Elvis, and a whole lot more that I couldn't identify... in capes =)

I finished the race in 1:10:28 - which I'm completely happy with! I really wanted to finish right around an hour and 10 or 11 minutes, so it's all good =) I think I'll concentrate on improving my 5k time in the near future - the 10k was a little much... i'm sore now, but it was worth it to run through downtown Austin and just take part in it.

That was a great time for your first 10K. It was a fun race.

We're proud of you for finishing, and in a reasonable time too. Way to go Brian!
