Murray Gin - Forney Texas

This is an old gin, 'Murray Gin', located right off the downtown area of Forney by the railroad tracks. It doesn't appear the building is being used as a business any longer, but it looks like it's seen a lot of action in its time.

Terrell looks like it has a lot of living history. Nice to see all the old western buildings still standing. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry to be stupid but what is a Gin? Nice black and white shot :)

Not a stupid question at all - it's a place where they used to process cotton once it was picked in a field... aka the cotton gin =)
