Today's photo is a side of an old building in the old downtown area of Forney. It still shows the old tenant, Stewart Wilhoite who apparently did picture frames, furniture and undertakers... one of the offices now houses Tom Hipsher, an agent for Texas Farmer's Insurance. Tom is a former co-worker who left to start this agency and seems to be doing pretty well...
or at least, to me, selling insurance must be better than being an undertaker.

:) Well, Brian - you never can tell. Coaching people I hear many stories and sometimes it may be better if there is no feedback from your clients - so being an undertaker seems like less stress to me. :)
That is so unusual finding!
Excellent...
I do like to see the writing on the wall. And I do wonder if there were several businesses in that building or if there was one business that did it all.
Thank you for visiting my blog.
I love the colors on those 2 last shots.
Wheren't the old adds much nicer than what we have now!!!
Love the faded lettering :)
Very good your blog, with beautifully posts, in detail comments and splendid photographs!
That is so interesting! I love to read the signage that indicates the "layered" history of a building. Fun Post!
What an interesting combo.
