little old antique store

When I see these old kind of buildings I'd like to know more about their history... be able to view some old photographs, etc. This one, a former grocery, now houses an antique store - and is located in downtown Quinlan... about 15 miles north of Terrell.

Looks like they have a little bit of everything. I like the faded sign on the side.

I'm glad it's still standing at least!

Me too, me too! Love history!

Remember going to StL when we were kids & I'd say ANTI-CUES instead of antiques? Mom & dad couldn't figure out what I was talking about for the longest time... heheheee

Brian, this is so great! I agree with you, knowing more about the building is a great, great thing. Wouldn't it be great to be able to drive around, taking photos like this, asking questions of old-timers and recording their answers, their memories?

Love Tricia's memory in her comment. Made me remember one time when we were driving through Louisiana somewhere back when I was little and I asked Mama, "What's a chair operator?" Turns out I had seen the word chiropractor!
