Today marks my 100th official post since beginning my blog on January 5th. I have to admit and apologize for posting twice on a couple days recently – but I didn’t start my blog until the 5th, and I wanted to end the year with a blog post for every day.
In honor of my 100th post, I'm posting some before/after photos from Terrell's 100th anniversary back in 1975. Today’s first photo came out of a calendar published by American National Bank in 1975 commemorating the 100th anniversary of Terrell.
To the far right in the old photo (circa 1910) is American National Bank – which still exists, and resides in the same place. It’s been remodeled and covered in glass now, and grown to encompass nearly the whole block. Aside from the bank in this old photo, the only other building remaining on this block is barely visible.
The last small building on the block today (close-up below) houses a ‘Palm Beach Tan’ tanning salon. (The Buford Drugs sign is another remnant of days past)

Congratulations on making it to 100!
I like the old/new comparison. It's very interesting to see how American cities change and grow.

Congrats on #100. Love the post today. I am really into local history since I started this daily photo blog. I have collected some old photos like you have and am taking "before/after" shots and plan on doing a little series of these later this year.
Congratulations! Keep on blogging.
