ben gill lake

here's a pic of the lake down at ben gill park. the effects of the drought on the water level are pretty drastic.

hot? yep... 37 days and counting down to breaking that 1980 record.

on the road again

got up early this morning to drive out to McKinney for the Melon Dash 5k. Last year it was called the McKinney Historical run. It's a nice route that starts in downtown and runs through a historical residential area with some really nice homes.

Next weekend is a 10k. in 100* heat.... should be a good sweaty workout! =)

well, i woke up to find BC had partied a little too much last night... i knew i was missing some cervezas!

tonight's photo was taken about 10pm... it was still almost 100 degrees!

hopefully we'll have a break to the heat in about 12 days (after we break the 1980 record) =)

we seriously need about 7 days of constant rain.

i'm a week behind on my half marathon training too... i'm going to have to go ahead and just run in the heat i guess, since this heat wave doesn't show signs of letting up anytime soon.
