thoughts and prayers to the family of Kaufman County District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife tonight - they were both found gunned down in their home. this following the murder in broad daylight of the assistant district attorney Hasse back in January while walking to work near the courthouse.

It feels like the wild west, like it's better to not answer the door at home. in the daylight or night, it doesn't matter. crazy.

the flowers in the backyard made it thru the freeze last night... but the bell peppers and jalapenos didn't.  i'll have to get some more now that the last cold snap should be over with! =)

it's almost a full moon out tonight! =)

i finished my 4th half marathon (13.1 miles) in 2 hours 38 minutes today  - not my best time, but not my worst either... i had to stop and use a port-a-potty during the race, that's my excuse and i'm sticking to it!

i finished at least... there is that! =)

i know everything is better in moderation... but the rain might be an exception for north Texas; we need a lot. The lakes are disappearing.
