Off-road 5ks

I went with Jim from Terrell Daily Photo today to take some photos at the Caveman Crawl in Bridgeport, Texas today. It's an off-road 5k obstacle course - I agree with Jim, I want to do one of these but it's fun to take pics of them too =)

My family had a lake house in Bridgeport when I was growing up, so it was cool to go back and drive around and see how things have changed in 30 years. LOL. Quite a bit.

Ham's is a favorite summer stop for a swirl ice cream (my favorite).. peach and strawberry =)

Polka Fest parade pics

Today I'm posting a few more pics from the Polka Fest Parade down in Ennis a couple weeks ago.

Still looking for my next 5k - I plan to go to the Caveman Crawl next weekend, but mainly to take pics since I won't be participating =) It's miserably hot running in the afternoons, but it sure works up a good sweat!

Texas Wildflowers

Today's photo was taken on the side of the road off highway 80. It was grooming day at Amber's Pet Parlor in Edgewood for the dogs.

And the yellow wildflowers along the side of the road looked too good not to stop and snap a few =)

It's Texas and it's hot. Hot. Hot. I'm ever thankful for air conditioning this time of year!

A Day at the Races

After the Memorial Day event in Kaufman on Monday we decided to head out to the horse track in Grand Prairie for an afternoon in the Texas sun... and managed to get some pics of some horses too =)

I went on a budget this time, and finally hit a ten-cent superfecta in the race before I had to leave... and won enough to cover all my bets for the day!
